These cute crunchy balls are made from potato and taro. It’s generally called ‘birdnest’ in Thailand. The taste is quite sweet and a bit oily, totally not for those who are on their diet. It’s not my favourite but the colors are so inviting and I can’t help buying it. I like how the cute balls are laid in rows of different colors, like graphic forms in plastic wrap. Also it reminds me of icecream scoops so I just try putting it in a glass. It’s not cold as icecream but sweet and refreshing enough to make my day.

The photo was taken at my cousin’s place. The house was once my own house. I used to live here when I was very young. So, it kinda adds the sense of time to the picture. We had some kind of a family meeting that day. Uncle, aunt, cousin got together and shared their stories. I realized that we all were getting old. Some day in the future we would be gone. Time wouldn’t stop for us, it just keep on and on…

Somehow I don’t feel scared of death anymore…
